How long have you been in business?
I got my insurance license in 1996.
What is your primary product or service?
After 17 years offering a full range of health and voluntary products, I now focus primarily on Medicare products.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I was working for an independent agent doing customer service after 18 years as an administrative assistant for a large pharmaceutical company. I found that I really liked helping people find the product that provided the best coverage for their needs and budget.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
As an independent agent, I can offer a variety of companies so that each individuals need can best be met. If a company I don't represent is the best fit for them, I will help them get enrolled or connect them with an agent for that company.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
I share office space with my husband's small business, Quality Blinds. I now consider myself "semi-retired" so am not in the office on a regular 8-5 schedule but am here daily to check messages and handle customer service. By sharing space with a business that is open all day, I have someone on site to take messages from walk-ins and receive deliveries. I want to stay small so that my clients will always get the personal service that they deserve.

I am located in a strip of offices directly behind Menards on East Windsor Avenue in Elkhart. It is the first street south of the Toll Road and first street north of County Road 6 between Cassopolis St. and Johnson St. (C.R. 9).
What type of payments do you accept?
Many of my products do not accept any prepayment. Some types of policy require a payment to be submitted to the carrier with the application. Those checks are made out to the insurance carrier. I do not personally accept any money.
Which areas do you service?
My primary market is in Elkhart County. I also have clients in St. Joseph and Lagrange counties in Indiana and Berrien and Cass counties in Michigan.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
I am the sole owner and operator.

What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
"You can't retire until after I die because I need you." Almost all of my clients come to my by referral and what better compliment can there be than someone thinks enough of my character and work ethic to recommend me to others.
